WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!!!!!
Welcome back to school all
bilingual students! The English teachers at IES Doñana wish you all the best
for this school year 2012/2013, especially to our new first year students (1º
ESO).
We would also like to introduce you to our new language assistant this year. We hope you can help us make him feel as home as possible in our school and our town.
My name is Oliver Nartey, I am 20 years old and I go to the University of Exeter, where I am studying French and Spanish. I have lived in a town called Bromley in South London all my life. Bromley is a relatively small town, but because it is so accessible in terms of transport, you can travel anywhere in London because of the excellent bus and train systems. There is a beautiful shopping centre there called 'The Glades' with a variety of shops.
I love sport. I play rugby and football, and I am a football fanatic. I watch every game that I can and the Spanish team I support is Real Madrid. I am a keen reader too, and absolutely love watching television. My favorite programme is a soap opera called Eastenders, which is set in the East of London and the characters have very funny accents. Finally, I am very much into music. I like all sorts, particularly rap but also enjoy Spanish music too. I have learned a few of them, and they are very catchy!
We also encourage you all to
use this blog and post as many comments as you can. Remember, all you need for
that is a gmail account.
