One of the zones from Spain where mas it is celebrated the holy week is in Andalusia and the holy week of Seville is one of the mas visited of Andalusia. Here in Almonte also we celebrate it very much and these steps go out: on Sunday the step of the Borriquita goes out. The miercole goes out the step of the Captive one accompanied of the Virgin of the Rosario. The Holy Thursday of dawn goes out the step of the Great power accompanied of the Virgin of the Qunta Angustia. The Good Friday Dolores go out the step of the Side - cross accompanied of the Virgin of. The Saturday goes out the step of The Holy Burial accompanied of the Virgin of the Loneliness. And Sunday of Resurrecion is very special in Almonte because there is chosen the Major Brother, who is the person who represents during everything

The Easter in Spain is similar to the one in U.K. Both days,GOOD FRIDAY and EASTER SUNDAY are the most important days in Easter. We also have a day of reflexion about the death of Jesus christ. We go to the church to celebrate a mess.
In spain there are some traditional sweets and cakes,like "Torríjas" and "pestiños" which are made whith honey. "Arroz con leche" is also very tipical for these days.
Easter Sunday is the day when we usually go to the countryside to have a meal whith the family and friends.

Hello everyone! I'm Ana Mª from 1Bto. B The Easter of UK is simillar to Roumania, but in Roumania we don't have eggs of chocolate, we paint them, the colour most used is red, and also we decorate them with stickers with Jesus, Virgin etc.. In this day, the Roumanian people, they eat "cozonac" a typical dessert for this day and eggs and they before has to crash with the eggs and then they can eat them. I think the Roumanian Easter is interesting, too.

Here is different, we celebrate from the coming of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem to the Resurrection of Jesus. I do not know exactly how do celebrate Easter in the rest of Spain but in Andalusia procesionan brotherhoods. Also, on Easter Sunday we go to the field and the childrens break eggs. In Spain, another important day is Maundy Thursday, which is as relevant as Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Here, in our country, our typical food is completely different- we eat Torrijas.
