  1. Hello! I'm Ángela Ullauri from 1°D.What I didn't nota like in this vídeo is that the scientific woman was told that it was a bit weird that she was scientist forma the simple fact of being a woman, that she was less feminine, and that even she looks strange just because no the site where she worked only men the science teachers. Women hace the same rights así men and can dedícate themselves yo what they like best, since the most important scientists that have existed have been women

It is more difficult and we are discriminated because we have family and have more obligations. If we work hard, we will be accepted like scientist. I wish our difficulties finished.

Normally all the men who study science and the elderly still believe that men are the only ones study science and i think they should reason and think that women are smarter and that apart working and studying, we do things at home, we take care of the children...
In conclusion i think that we don´t have difficulties when it comes to studying and we shouldn´t think about what others thinks.

We are constantly changing, but we need to go deeper.

  22. Hello, I'm María Betanzos from 1ºBACH B. I think that people is used to seeing men succeed in fields such as medicine or scientific research, now more women can be seen in these fields who strive to prove to the world that we are also worth for that and much more since we are all equal . For me, they are true fighters because they can find on their way tests that must be overcome by the simple fact of being women. No one should tell us what we want to do and that we want to be, let alone force ourselves to do so. I feel very proud of these women and I believe that if we all do our bit we can achieve equality in society, although there is still much to do so we should not give up.

  24. Hi, I'm Laura Palomo from 1st BTO B. This video talks about how gender affects careers. Society is accustomed to seeing men in science, but I think that women have the same right to be scientists. They should not be excluded just because they have to take care of the home and perform household chores, because we all have a family and we have more obligations. Working hard we will be accepted as scientists and I hope that our difficulties are over.

    ResponderEliminar
  25. Hello! I'm Fátima from 1ºBTO B. From my point of view, according to the basic knowledge about this career is that it is more normal to see men than women occupying jobs like these. Although the number of people who think as in previous decades has reduced, there are still people with this way of thinking. That's, they think that women are only for domestic tasks and to take care of our family or that they can work but in places that don't require so much use of our "mind and intellect" as well as working as a teacher, farmer, ... jobs that don't require so much effort compared to others. That is why there are people who are surprised when they are told they are mothers and they are even in jobs related to the science of health or technology. While men do see it as something "normal" because they have always been considered "superior" to women for developing a better intelligence and knowledge in relation to women. However, I think the opposite, after so many struggles and confrontations of women towards society to get to be at the same level of men, aren't yet giving at that level, it has been possible for people to change a bit their way of thinking and their vision and thus be able to enter positions of scientific works. Currently, there are still debates about what I said before and doubts, but there are more women working in positions that were previously impossible to obtain. Therefore, we should never give up or lose hope because sooner or later we will achieve it and if we collaborate together we will have more strength to face the harsh reality of what happens in our environment. NEVER GIVE UP! ;-)

  27. Hello! I'm Andrea Jiménez from 1° BTO B. I really like this video because it shows how difficult it is to achieve the job that you want because society thinks that work is not for you. If you want to work in "x" work in the future, you should not pay attention to people's thoughts and you should work hard and study to achieve that job because be a woman or a man don't define your capacity to do a work, it is only define for your studies and knowledge in that area. If you are a girl and you want to be a scientist(like women in the video) it is all right because a women's or a men's job doesn't exist, it just an idea of the society in which we live that it why you sould go for it, don't give up and don't care about other people opinions because they aren't going to live your life and you have to be happy with your future job.

Hello, I´m Maria Rodriguez from 1ºBach B, for me this video is about one of the most talked topic in the actually, it is good to see these thems from the institute to make teenagers see the situation about the gender differences in the world. I think that the science is the base of the universe and more womens are entering it, the problem comes when the figure of the women it is reflected in this camp, since they still exist thousands of people with the mentality of another century what facilitates that many of these persons criticize or not see correctly this. so we must make see to the world that both a woman and a man can contribute a bit for continue improving the world and increment the equality genders.bye!!!

This is a really interesting video about a pretty worrying fact.
It’s so sad that nowadays these facts happen.
I reckon women have been really important in Science World but the society has concealed the the majority of the things they have been discovered.
I hope this point of view changes and I also hope that in the future, women won’t have to hear these sexist comments.
As I said before, there were a lot of scientific women like Margarita Salas, Marie Curie, Rosalind Franklin...
They are a great example for the future generations in Science World.
I would like to be as brave and smart as them.

This is all, see you in class ;)

  35. Hello, I am Tanya from 4° A. This video made me think about how hard it is for a woman to be a scientist. It should be the same for men and women, but in some cases it is not, which is quite upsetting. I feel happy for those women who achieved their goals and finally got the job they always wanted by working hard every day. I am still not sure about what I want to be in the future, but if I decide to be a scientist, I would like to have the same opportunities as everyone else. Girls, do your best, never give up and keep fighting for what you want. Boys, let women be what they want to be, do not steal their ideas, appreciate their work. They deserve it.

  95. Hi, I'm Elisabeth of 1ºBto.B. I think that it’s very interesting video, because it shows the real situation of women today. It is a pity that in this time they continue to refer to women as mothers and housewives, but that is not the case. A woman has the same rights to work in any field of science like man. I think that society is guilty of these stereotypes indicated to women. Therefore, the first thing to be aware of is at home, to the little ones, so that they grow up knowing that every human being, both women and men, can be a father and a mother, and at the same time, a teacher or a scientist. Let's fight for equality!

If we rely on our ancestors, the society of its time was quite macho and not very equal with men and women. Women had to earn their positions with a macho force exercising on her, because from the beginning of our society man has had more rights than women. Today we can be proud of how little by little everything has changed, and although there is still much to be done, we have taken a big step.

  99. Hello, I'm Daria Tomescu from 1°BTO B. I think it's really saddening that nowadays some women are still discouraged from pursuing their dreams. I really don't see the difference between the intelligence of a man and the one of a woman. If I was ill and I had to go to the hospital I wouldn't care if my doctor was male or female as long as he or she did his or her job properly.
I loved the part where one of the scientists said "I'm a scientist by my own right". Any person who works hard in order to achieve something they want shouldn't feel any less than what they truly are just because of everybody else's opinion.
I also think being a mother and having a family is a wonderful thing, but it shouldn't be brought up when referring to the labour field. That shouldn't even be a problem since both parents should equally take care of their children.
A big thank you to these amazing women for standing up for their beliefs and being a huge inspiration to younger generations.

  100. I am a Marina from 3°B.As a woman I am, I agree with these scientists. Not so many years ago, women's opinion did not matter. At present women have managed to take us into account in the world of science.Women we deserve what we have achieved.
